What Is a Face Lift?
A face lift is a cosmetic surgical procedure designed to reduce visible signs of aging in the face and neck by tightening sagging skin, smoothing deep folds, and restoring a more youthful facial contour. It targets areas such as the cheeks, jawline, and neck.Who Is a Good Candidate?
Individuals with sagging or loose facial skin, jowls, or deep creases around the nose and mouth
Those seeking to improve the appearance of aging but with good skin elasticity
Healthy patients with realistic expectations
Non-smokers or those willing to quit before and after surgery
The Procedure
Anesthesia: Typically performed under general anesthesia or intravenous sedation with local anesthesia.
Incisions: Incisions are usually made along the hairline at the temples, around the ears, and sometimes under the chin for neck tightening.
Tissue Lifting and Tightening: The underlying facial muscles and tissues are lifted and repositioned. Excess skin is trimmed away to smooth and firm the face and neck.
Closure: Incisions are closed with sutures or skin adhesives, and drains may be placed temporarily to prevent fluid buildup.

Recovery
Swelling, bruising, and mild discomfort are common and managed with medication.
Head elevation and cold compresses help reduce swelling during the first few days.
Strenuous activity, heavy lifting, and bending over should be avoided for 2 to 4 weeks.
Follow-up appointments monitor healing and remove sutures or drains if needed.
Results
A smoother, tighter, and more youthful facial appearance.
Scars fade over time and are strategically placed to be discreet.
Eyelids (Blepharoplasty)
Blepharoplasty, also known as eyelid surgery, is a highly effective solution for addressing sagging skin, excess fat, and puffiness around the eyes, which can make you appear tired or older than you feel. Dr. Mecham utilizes advanced techniques to tailor the procedure to your specific needs, whether you require upper eyelid surgery, lower eyelid surgery, or a combination of both. During the procedure, excess skin and fat are carefully removed or repositioned to achieve a more rejuvenated and alert appearance. A blepharoplasty is a safe and proven solution to achieve long-lasting results and is often combined with other facial rejuvenation procedures to further enhance your overall look.
