A Few Days Before:
Pause Active Skincare Ingredients: Stop using retinol, prescription acne treatments, alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs), beta hydroxy acids (BHAs), and exfoliants 2–3 days before your facial to avoid irritation.
Avoid Waxing or Harsh Treatments: Don’t wax, thread, or get chemical peels or laser treatments at least 3–5 days before your facial.
Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water to keep your skin well-hydrated. This helps your skin respond better to the treatment.
Day of Your Facial:
Come with Clean Skin (if possible): Arrive makeup-free, or with minimal makeup. Your esthetician will cleanse your skin, but it’s helpful to avoid heavy products.
Avoid Sun Exposure: Try to stay out of the sun before your appointment to prevent sensitivity or sunburn.
Communicate Your Skin Concerns: Be ready to share any current skin issues, allergies, or product use so your esthetician can tailor the facial to your skin’s needs.
Skip Shaving (for men): If you're getting a facial, try not to shave the same day—shaving can increase skin sensitivity.

Discontinue Active Skincare Ingredients:
Stop using retinol, Retin-A, tretinoin, or any strong exfoliants (AHAs, BHAs like glycolic or salicylic acid).
Avoid harsh acne products like benzoyl peroxide.
Pause Waxing or Exfoliating Treatments: Avoid waxing, dermaplaning, or chemical peels on the treatment area.
2–3 Days Before:
Limit Sun Exposure: Avoid direct sun and tanning beds to prevent irritation or increased sensitivity.
Hydrate: Drink plenty of water—HydraFacial works even better on well-hydrated skin!
Day of Your HydraFacial:
Arrive with Clean Skin: Skip makeup, heavy creams, or SPF. A fresh, product-free face is best.
